Complete Care Agency requires a Support Worker to cover 3 complex care packages;
To provide care for a 49 year old female with Stiff Person Syndrome. She lives at home with her husband and three children. Stiff Person Syndrome causes rigidity and spasms. This service user is in her wheelchair for 5 hours per day. She has full capacity but has slurred speech which can be difficult to understand and uses a communication board. She can become frustrated and upset.
To provide care for a lady who is wheelchair bound due to spinal nerve damage causing chronic pain. This lady really enjoys shopping, reading and going to the library. She is also an artist who makes jewellery and paints.
To provide care for a lady who has a central nervous system disorder and suffers with acute short term memory loss. This lady does a lot of voluntary work, particularly for people with disabilities, and has a real interest in women’s rights. The role is mainly a companionship role and will involve going out to the shops and accompanying the service user whilst she works.
We are looking for friendly and professional people to support our clients with their everyday needs.
Training will be provided and duties will include:
- Personal care including catheter and bowel care
- Hoisting
- Pressure care
- PEG care
- Trachy care including suctioning
Hours of work
You must be available to cover shifts from Monday to Sunday, 7.00am – 22.00pm
You will be required to work alternate weekends
* Must hold a full, clean driving licence and have your own vehicle
