Complete Care Agency Ltd are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to provide care for a lady who has a central nervous system disorder and suffers with acute short term memory loss.
The role is mainly a companionship role and will involve going out to the shops and accompanying the service user whilst she works.
Duties will include personal care, cleaning, shopping, hoisting and administering medication.
12 hours per week (6 hours Saturday and 6 Hours Sunday)
Additional support may be required in school holidays (Education Leeds holiday dates)
Experienced in caring for young people with severe autism and managing challenging behaviours.
They will take her out at weekends in their own car so she can access activities so the planned day is 10am till 4pm but some flexibility is needed as it will depend on what activity she is doing for example, 1 place she likes to attend start their activity in Bradford at 10 am so carer wold need to work 9.15 till 3.15
Essential attributes:
- Reliable and committed
- Punctual and conscientious
- Literate and numerate
- Able to complete Care Certificate and other Mandatory training
- Common interests to that of the client
